some facts about life in the UK . . . My friend earns an above average wage (600 pounds a week ) , an above average wage . she spends 200 of that on rent (per week) , 200 on heating and hot water and phone (a week) and the remainder on food , trains, clothes and the occasional dance class. 33% of her wage is spend on keeping warm ! There are more charity shops than real shops in the main street of most towns and the price of the second hand clothes are more expensive than what australians would pay for new clothes ! last winter , the average waiting time to bee seen by a doctor in casualty was 24 hours . God help you if your critical ! Most people shop and live day by day , eating mainly pre cooked, pre packaged meals. If the shops were to close for three days, alot of people would be very hungry. In the richest country in the world , why do most of its occupants have to decide between warmth or a meal ? last week, electricity went up AGAIN by 10 % I support Russel Brand in his desire for a R (evolution) Its time for some big changes thank god your Australian , and go buy Solar Panels and fruit trees some times being grateful is not enough . . what to do ??? any suggestions? feeling cranky !
