**spoken word poem i made last night and finished today. if you read it, tell me what you felt.** you didnt just break me, you changed me. now not even the mirror will face me. im numb my senses without a trace. im dumb and blew it, now all i have is my space. wishing i never had a book of faces. wishing maybe id get to play this game called life, but my day is like drawing the ace of spades in a spaded deck. in other words, im a ripped up wreck, unable to keep my lines in check. you didnt just break me, you changed me.. looking in the mirror feeling numb. as if the fog couldnt be any clearer. feeling inferior. outside i look fine, but the interior decor is just so dusty. sharp edged rusty. feeling kinda like a crusty crumb, the mirror shatters, as if everything in the world mattered. i feel like a caged dog, when i should feel as great as a god. sadness steals joy, join the ride into madness. up and down the steel loops into the depths of our doom, poison places where my heart beats traces... i broke you, i changed, you didnt just break me. lets be free. youve changed, you did break me. lets break free. you didnt just change me, youve made me feel truly, deranged. lets be honest, its really what we both wanted. weve changed like the weather, and maybe thats why inside my head blows like a twisted winter twister, and inside my mind, spiraling out of control, truly im insane. icy cold are my thoughts, dwelling inside, veins swelling. i am a warrior and this battle is won. i am a warrior and the war is done. but still i stand, with energy in my hand. and a look in my eye that no one could understand. going around accomplishing life goals with confidence like, im the man, im the man, im the man. but when its all said and done i fall silent like a monk. and my thoughts are incredulous because they dont understand. i could stand on my hands, and this world still wouldnt be turned upside down.
