such a funny follow up about the story i posted earlier in the week about being invited to a client/friends 90th Birthday mid month by one of her sons~ ironically she came in yesterday to purchase some flowers for a sick friend. In the midst of our conversation, she told me she is going to be 90 in mid August and didnt really think she would ever make it to this age~ after all she raised 3 young boys on her own, graduated from Syracuse University, was an assistant Dean at Ithaca College, traveled the world, had been in the navy, just to name a few things!! I pretended to not know anything about her upcoming BIG day~ although i did. Have been invited by her one son to a cookout at her farm to celebrate.. She thought it was strange that her two living sons, that reside on opposite ends of the country, would be around for a family reunion of sorts for their fathers side of the family. Little does she know why they will really be here~ more of the story to continue. I look forward to seeing Gloria after all as she says.. I am a tough OLD bird Thats what makes the flower business so interesting. The joy we bring to people daily. She loved telling me this little story~ Although I had already known all along!
