#teamKAKAAKI2014 GOOD MORNING BRIEF INTRODUTION OF ENIOLA OPEYEMI (Daddie) Through history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the in difference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph. -Haile Selassie Eniola Opeyemi is a student leader cum activist who has been involved in the emancipation of students from the shackles of the oppressor in the form of sensitisation programmes ,protests and enlightments campaigns in whatever position he has served.He has held numerous posts in time past some of which include: -Co-ordinator,National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone D South West. -Secretary, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone D South West. -President, National Association of Science Students,Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto-Ijanikin, Lagos. -Vice-President, National Association of Science Students, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto-Ijanikin, Lagos. -Member, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Students Parliamentary Council (SPC) He has numerous awards as well as appointments to his credit.His recent appointment as member, constitution review committee of NANS speaks volume about his leadership virtues. AMBITION I dont need the biggest position to perform thegreatest task -Opeyemi Eniola (Daddie) Eniola Opeyemis ambition for the post of Public Relations Officer at the National level of NANS is borne out of the consensus reached by cadres of NANS which consist of senators, NANS JCC, Zonal,National executives and all other cadres across the nation,after he has served diligently at the South-West geopolitical zone with vibrancy and articulacy, embarking on various assignment across campuses in the country. Some of the comrades achievement include; -distribution of free exercise books to tertiary, secondary, primary and nursery schools across the South Western geopolitical zone. -organization of seminars and workshops for students and youths with certificates of attendance given out at no cost, some of the programmes were held at the University of Lagos and the Federal University of Agriculture,Abeokuta. -printing of free NANS constitution and membership stickers to all students union representatives in South West, Nigeria. -campuses intervention which has helped resuscitate the banned unions amongst others. - solicitation of free legal services for students, which include getting a legal adviser for NANS zone d (south-west) during his reign. It is also on record that Comrade Eniola Opeyemi was the first student from a College of Education to attain the post of NANS Coordinator debunking the presumption that nothing good can come out of a College of Education. Let me quickly add at this juncture that, it has beena difficult task in recent times to lead Nigerias over 40million students both at home and in diaspora towards having one voice for change due primarily to lack of trust in student-leaders. You will agree with me that the achievements mentioned above couldnt have been possible without the person being familiar with the challenges faced by students. Identifying these challenges,it is expedient to present a candidate who has a candidate who has served at all levels of students unionism diligently and trustfully to contest for the post of P.R.O ., I feel by contesting for this post I will be propelled to : - sensitize youths and students in a way to ensure.
