thanks for posts guys, will respond soon. that was my toughest race since Germany 2009. bike was windy and I got stranded, so used up my running legs. knew it would come back and bite me, and those gremlins appeared after 30k of the run, had to walk a few aid stations but got over the line to hold on to a podium and stamp the Kona ticket. sad to be giving up the Irish record but when some boy runs 3hrs off a 4:30 windy bike he deserves it!! and who better to have it than the guy I took it off! :-) good man Liam Dolan top result! beer later we need it.
