the Abomination of Desolation is already sitting there... It is the Dome on the Temple Mount, Mat 24:15 So when you see the abomination that causes desolation spoken about through the prophet Daniel standing in the Holy Place (let the reader understand the allusion), Mat 24:16 that will be the time for those in Yhudah to escape to the hills. Mat 24:17 If someone is on the roof, he must not go down to gather his belongings from his house; Mat 24:18 if someone is in the field, he must not turn back to get his coat. Mat 24:19 What a terrible time it will be for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Mat 24:20 Pray that you will not have to escape in winter or on Shabbat. Mat 24:21 For there will be trouble then worse than there has ever been from the beginning of the world until now, and there will be nothing like it again! Mat 24:22 Indeed, if the length of this time had not been limited, no one would survive; but for the sake of those who have been chosen, its length will be limited. Mat 24:23 At that time, if someone says to you, Look! Heres the Messiah! or, There he is! dont believe him. Mat 24:24 For there will appear false Messiahs and false prophets performing great miracles — amazing things! — so as to fool even the chosen, if possible. Mat 24:25 There! I have told you in advance! Mat 24:26 So if people say to you, Listen! Hes out in the desert! dont go; or, Look! Hes hidden away in a secret room! dont believe it. Mat 24:27 For when the Son of Man does come, it will be like lightning that flashes out of the east and fills the sky to the western horizon. Mat 24:28 Wherever theres a dead body, thats where you find the vultures. Mat 24:29 But immediately following the trouble of those times, the sun will grow dark, the moon will stop shining, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in heaven will be shaken. Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, all the tribes of the Land will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with tremendous power and glory. Mat 24:31 He will send out his angels with a great shofar; and they will gather together his chosen people from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:31 Shofar, rams horn, or, loosely, trumpet. The rams horn is blown at the season of the Jewish High Holy Days, one hundred times on Rosh-HaShanah (New Year), also called the Feast of Trumpets; and once at the end of Yom-Kippur (Day of Atonement). Judaism also understands that the Day of Judgment will be announced by blasts on the shofar. Ten Tanakh verses mentioning the shofar are recited in the Rosh-HaShanah synagogue service. Lev 23:24 Tell the people of Israel, In the seventh month, the first of the month (otherwise known as a new moon by the Hebrew Word Cho’deshc: Renew co: New moon ab: New: The first crescent of the moon as the renewal of the moon, the first day of the month. [from: - restoration] ) is to be for you a day of complete rest for remembering, a holy convocation (Hebrew Feast) announced with blasts on the shofar. Lev 23:25 Do not do any kind of ordinary work, and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai. Lev 23:26 Adonai said to Moshe, Lev 23:27 The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom-Kippur; you are to have a holy convocation, you are to deny yourselves, and you are to bring an offering made by fire to Adonai. Lev 23:28 You are not to do any kind of work on that day, because it is Yom-Kippur, to make atonement for you before Adonai your God. Lev 23:29 Anyone who does not deny himself on that day is to be cut off from his people; Lev 23:30 and anyone who does any kind of work on that day, I will destroy from among his people. Lev 23:31 You are not to do any kind of work; it is a permanent regulation through all your generations, no matter where you live. Lev 23:32 It will be for you a Shabbat of complete rest, and you are to deny yourselves; you are to rest on your Shabbat from evening the ninth day of the month until the following evening. Lev 23:33 Adonai said to Moshe, Lev 23:34 Tell the people of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of Sukkot for seven days to Adonai. Lev 23:35 On the first day there is to be a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work. Lev 23:36 For seven days you are to bring an offering made by fire to Adonai; on the eighth day you are to have a holy convocation and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai ; it is a day of public assembly; do not do any kind of ordinary work. Lev 23:37 These are the designated times of Adonai that you are to proclaim as holy convocations and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai — a burnt offering, a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, each on its own day — Lev 23:38 besides the Shabbats of Adonai, your gifts, all your vows and all your voluntary offerings that you give to Adonai. Lev 23:39 But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered the produce of the land, you are to observe the festival of Adonai seven days; the first day is to be a complete rest and the eighth day is to be a complete rest. Lev 23:40 On the first day you are to take choice fruit, palm fronds, thick branches and river-willows, and celebrate in the presence of Adonai your God for seven days. Lev 23:41 You are to observe it as a feast to Adonai seven days in the year; it is a permanent regulation, generation after generation; keep it in the seventh month. Lev 23:42 You are to live in sukkot for seven days; every citizen of Israel is to live in a sukkah, Lev 23:43 so that generation after generation of you will know that I made the people of Israel live in sukkot when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am Adonai your God. Lev 23:44 Thus Moshe announced to the people of Israel the designated times of Adonai. Lev 25:9 Then, on the tenth day of the seventh month, on Yom-Kippur, you are to sound a blast on the shofar; you are to sound the shofar all through your land; Num 29:1 In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work; it is a day of blowing the shofar for you. Mat 24:32 Now let the fig tree teach you its lesson: when its branches begin to sprout and leaves appear, you know that summer is approaching. Mat 24:33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you are to know that the time is near, right at the door. Mat 24:34 Yes! I tell you that this people will certainly not pass away before all these things happen. Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Mat 24:36 But when that day and hour will come, no one knows — not the angels in heaven, not the Son, only the Father. Mat 24:37 For the Son of Mans coming will be just as it was in the days of Noach. Mat 24:38 Back then, before the Flood, people went on eating and drinking, taking wives and becoming wives, right up till the day Noach entered the ark; Mat 24:39 and they didnt know what was happening until the Flood came and swept them all away. It will be just like that when the Son of Man comes. Mat 24:40 Then there will be two men in a field — one will be taken and the other left behind. Mat 24:41 There will be two women grinding flour at the mill — one will be taken and the other left behind. Mat 24:42 So stay alert, because you dont know on what day your Lord will come. Mat 24:43 But you do know this: had the owner of the house known when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. Mat 24:44 Therefore you too must always be ready, for the Son of Man will come when you are not expecting him. Mat 24:45 Who is the faithful and sensible servant whose master puts him in charge of the household staff, to give them their food at the proper time? Mat 24:46 It will go well with that servant if he is found doing his job when his master comes. Mat 24:47 Yes, I tell you that he will put him in charge of all he owns. Mat 24:48 But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, My master is taking his time; Mat 24:49 and he starts beating up his fellow servants and spends his time eating and drinking with drunkards; Mat 24:50 then his master will come on a day the servant does not expect, at a time he doesnt know; Mat 24:51 and he will cut him in two and put him with the hypocrites, where people will wail and grind their teeth!
