the cowboy and the unicorn There was a cowboy, and he was not very nice. He was very arrogant and thought that nobody was better than him. One day, as he was strutting his stuff, he came across a little Lego man. Straight away, he started to laugh: ooooh wee Lego man! Look at you! How tiny you are! Hilarious! The Lego man replied: I might be small but at least I can ride unicorns - unlike you whos never even seen one! I could ride a unicorn. Easily! I can ride anything! Im the best cowboy EVER! No way. I know for a fact you can not ride a unicorn! said the Lego man Oh yes I can. Ill prove it! Where can I find one? You have to go through the dark dark wood, up the massive mountain, down the deep valley, across the three rivers, and you will find them on a meadow near the ocean. But be careful - Batman lives out there and he is the protector of the unicorns! PAH! Easy replied the cowboy and set off through the dark woods. But very quickly he realised that they really were very very dark. And scary. And full of creepy noises. Just as he was about to start crying, as if by magic, *ping* the Lego man appeared. Without a word, he held the cowboys hand and led him out of the forest. Once they arrived at the foot of the mountain, the cowboy shrugged off the Lego mans hand. What are you doing?! I was perfectly happy by myself thankyouverymuch! Buzz off!!! and *ping* the Lego man disappeared. The Cowboy began to climb the mountain. Swiftly at first, whistling a cowboy song. Then slowly and the higher he climbed, the more it seemed like and impossible task. Until he could go no further and sat down, catching his breath. He was exhausted. Then, as if by magic *ping* the Lego man appeared. And guess what happened?! He picked up the cowboy and carried him all the way to the top of the mountain! As soon as they got there, the cowboy jumped off and shouted at the Lego man: Let go off me! I was perfectly fine by myself thankyouverymuch! Buzz off!!! Without a word, the Lego man *ping* disappeared. This is easy, said the cowboy to himself as he made his way down the mountain and through the valley. Until he reached the three river banks and he sat down in despair: He couldnt swim! How was he going to cross the three rivers? *ping* the Lego man appeared again and this time, he was holding a raft brought you something... he said. PAH! shouted the cowboy I dont need your help! Im the best cowboy there is thankyouverymuch! Buzz off!!! *ping* the Lego man disappeared, but he did leave the raft behind. Hmmm... ah well...I might as well... thought the cowboy and, with the help of the raft, made it across the river. Ooooh that must be it! he laughed as he excitedly ran towards the meadow by the ocean. But just as he was about to step on the grass, Batman jumped in front of him, blocking his way. He was HUGE, at least 3 times as big as the cowboy, and he looked cross: And what do you think youre doing?! The cowboy straightened up ahem. Riding a unicorn thankyouverymuch! Oh now youre not! laughed Batman and, as if by magic *ping* the Lego man appeared beside him. See. I told you! The reason you will never ride a unicorn is because youre a horrible person! Had you asked Batman nicely, you might have had a chance. But because youre rude, and he is a lot stronger than you, you will have to make your way back home by yourself ... on foot! And Lego man and Batman laughed and laughed, while the cowboy slowly turned to face the long long lonely journey home.
