the therapist today was talking to me about kevs refusal to get out of bed the last 2 days. we got him up, but she was trying to help me figure out how we can better help him and prevent recurrence. then she asked if he was very social before. yes. he was. people would stop by the shop all the time, just to chat him up and see what he was doing. she asked if his friends are coming to visit. i explained that they were really coming frequently , at first, but that lately, it has just been family peeking in from time to time and the missionaries every 2 weeks or so. he has some regular visitors at rusk. the nurse thought that he may be depressed, partly because his social life is so much different. are you friends with kevin? did you come see him at war paint? he is still kevin. he still needs visitors. you just have a chance to get a word in edgewise now. and play charades. but seriously, do i have to contact specific friends?
