And the scientifical-minded materialist does not discern those. And I am not trying to put them down, I am just saying that there are different levels of KNOWING. There are different ontological levels of knowledge. This is well known in oriental and Persian mysticism. The great Sufi teachers realized this - that there are discreet different levels of knowledge and the knowledge that can be gained through science is a fairly limited little box. The problem with the hubris of modern science is that they believe that this is the only real reality. Its like physics....physics is all there is! But meta-physics is not some kooky new-age thing. Meta-physics is a larger cognitive perspective that acknowledges the realm of physics BUT EMBRACES SO MUCH MORE. - John Major Jenkins
