thevisitationacademy.org/vizitown/ The city planners, architects, engineers and builders of Pre-K4 have spent the last month planning, designing and building Vizitown in a room of the primary building. After research into the different types of buildings a city needs, visits from a variety of community helpers, and an exploration of the recycled materials available for our project, we were ready to go. The class chose names for the streets of Vizitown and chose the lots on which they wanted to build. Each girl designed and built her own house, then formed teams to design and build the community buildings. Each team had to choose the type of building they thought our town needed, design it, build it, and name it. We are pleased to announce that Vizitown is complete; Mrs. Kirby was our first visitor and the class proudly described their buildings during her tour. The creativity and enthusiasm they displayed was amazing. We all want to move to Vizitown now!
