...this guy is in irl next week be great to witness his strength and coaching ...im only posting this as he mentioned anger ...its an emotion we all call on from time to time but its disjunctive ...it effects all the bodys systems ....like all emotions it you dont control them theyll control you The myth of anger is that we can use it as an asset – a motivational tool But anger is always a liability Anger is likely to arise when I believe that I should be more than I am right now – if I want to improve I have to believe I can and believe I can develop the skill – what gets this to happen ? – its not anger that spurs you on When you get angry you’ve poisoned your system for 3 days and in those 3 days you’re vulnerable You cant use anger as an energy to improve If you believe you’re weak or helpless then anger is an option If someone is going to show me up as weak and helpless then anger is the perfect cover up for that If you’re exposed as weak useless and helpless then that’s not acceptable If there’s no success without anger then we’ll see it where it is and where it isn’t How many times did you see someone win who was angry ? In sports you provoke anger in the opponent to get a reaction so they lose control and focus Or you get angry with yourself, the opponent, the equipment ..thinking its helping you improve or get through Anger in a person puts demands on them to perform Anger brings down a red mist and clouds your judgement The belief behind the anger is that – I’m in trouble anger can get me out of it Whats the message you get when youre angry ? - that this is is good as I get !? Do I accept that or use the anger to fight myself away from the situation ? The feeling of anger is the feeling of an internal weakness You can only improve from the point where you are faced with your limits If you believe you’re weak or helpless you’re going to put demands on yourself - the hypothesis – I’m weak – will have to be proved When you accept your limits and you kow exactly what you need to do you can improve You accept that this is as good as I can do - I’m doing the best I can do You notice that if you were to improve in something then you ask for help and find a way to push through your limitation Anger arises from the feeling of being disappointed with my own performance - this is 100% true in every case you have experienced anger Anger as a compensation for being helpless
