this is the most incredible video. in every example Ive been privileged to witness in all the men of God that excell in different virtues of His, together making His body whole...this man, Pope Francis, is an incredible testimony/representation of the actual walking Christ, who wether we can stomach it or not, did things like attend the wedding reception and turn water to wine, per His mothers request, even though the guests were already influenced (i know, its hard for me to understand too...but He is God, not my understanding)....and like Pope Francis here, He also washed feet....with real water and soap...while sitting on the ground....and Pope Francis, who is first because he is last in his heart and his actions, as the good Book says...lives yet another #truth he boldly, for my edification, this week. He went outside the church this past Thursday, as Christ most often did, and mimicked his Boss, on that Beloved Thursday when the earth met its Maker. He washed and kissed the feet of the members of the real body of Christ--humanity. Doing it in church and symbolically is beautiful too, and the men doing so are of most humble and Christ-like character (humility is not only witnessed in this way...but many ways, this being one of them. This is simply and plainly just doing exactly what Christ did. period. humility in obedience...this is what it means to me). My Orthodox fathers, are my guardian angels, and their love and humility is of the Father and I witness it daily, in many examples they follow Christ exactly as well. I am not wise enough to elevate one style over another, but I must highlight truth where I see it, without emotion--as the truth, alone, sets us free-no matter how we feel about it...and I have always honestly struggled with the question of why no one leaves with cleaner feet than having walked in since simply, Christ washed feet, water and soap, as impractical as it sounds. why dont we?...perhaps I notice because my feet are dirtiest of all, but this man does mimic Christ to the best of his human ability here on earth, as a leader publicly. I respect that immensely. Im not Catholic, but I love the faith, in any and all forms. I love my mother, the Coptic Orthodox Church, and I love my pope, His Holiness Pope Tawadrous II, who gave a Christ-like unification of Christianity speech I was proud of immensely, this Resurrection feast. I write this in support of his sermon last night, which stands for unity..not in opposition of my own, but in support--as I am merely sheep, and my pope and this one are both shepherds. I cant wait till they join flocks since we will be one flock with one Shepherd in heaven. I hope I see the day we unite on earth, and make His body One and Whole. Till then, its already happened in my head, and this man is co-pope to me, since the real Pope is in heaven serving through these great men anyway...because I attend the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Orthodox Church...that has One Body and One Blood and One God...so shame on us trying to divide Him and ask Him to choose. but thankfully, He has mercy on our humanity and that of our ways of worship, and their beauty is because of their humanity, not in spite of it. He doesnt expect our decisions to be perfect. He just expects us to remember that, and hopefully He will excuse our weaknesses of division when we stand before His One Throne asking to be finally One flock then. If you ask me, I dont know what demoniations you speak of. My church is Orthodox which means unchanged, Holy which means of Christ, Catholic which means universal, and Apostolic which means passed down from those God passed it down Face to face through...thats all, so yes Catholic and Orthodox are both the names of my church...Coptic, thats my beautiful heritage, my culture...He made us of different cultures in His one Body for diverse beauty ...not for segregation of any kind. We humans are still learning how to get rid of that, one type at a time. Im proud of our progress, and I am excited for the coming miracles, as I have faith in our leaders, my many fathers, all part of the same church, the heavenly Jerusalem, where no denominations exist, under one High Priest of all. I love my faith, but I love more the remembrance that Christ was not Orthodox, nor Coptic...nor Catholic, nor Protestant, nor even non-denominational...He was PRE-denominational..BEFORE the councils where we agreed to disagree. Im part of that church, the One He started, and so are these men, who lead me to Him under whatever title they please...sons and daughters of Christ--the title of merit above all. so Happy Ressurection feast to everyone He died for, the entirety of the human race. I love you all--or better learn to quick, or else He was tortured last week for nothing. Ikhristos anesti. Christ is risen. Piekhristos aftonf. al Maseeh qam. Post it in every language under the sun. I, in ignorance, only know these. Teach me the others He created with beauty. ...for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
