time for me to add my two cents on the Pistorius case. In my humble opinion, one of the 3 following scenarios has occurred (in order of likeliness): 1. Hes been found not guilty because hes a famous, rich, WHITE athlete in South Africa (lets face it, still a racist country). I could wager large sums of money that if he was black, he would be found guilty of murder right now. 2. Hes somehow paid off the jury/judge/whoever gives judgements in the South African legal system. Again, a country known for being corrupt, so not surprising. 3. Hes actually NOT guilty of murder. Could it be a case of insufficient solid evidence? I dont think so, but the argument could be made. Alternatively, perhaps he didnt INTEND to kill Reeva Steinkamp- who knows. ANYWAY, this whole Pistorius to be charged with something else instead farce is exactly that.....a farce. Simply to appease the angry masses who thought he deserved a murder sentencing. OH, and the media, whove as always sensationalised this whole situation. Perhaps, if the case hadnt gone so public, Pistorius MIGHT have even been charged differently? Frankly, I thought he was guilty of murder, but not in the 1st (or highest order) degree. I would have charged him with low-range murder. (murder 3rd degree)....unless I have the order of degrees the wrong way around? lol
