trying to get money from us for playing football? really? Dear Football Alums: I hope all is well and that you are having a great summer. Remember your playing days and the anticipation of starting pre-season camp? We are four weeks away from the players reporting (August. 14), and I am excited! We have 40 lettermen returning with 20 starters and will have one the largest senior classes during my tenure. With 32 seniors leading the way, I expect to challenge for a CCIW Championship and a Division III Play-Off berth. I hope you will make it to a game this year and cheer us on! Remember, “Once a Titan, always a Titan.” Titan football tradition is the BEST, and you are part of that tradition. I am emailing you to ask for your help with a GREAT OPPORTUNITY! When I recruit, I always rely on financial aid for my student athletes. Today is the “All in for Wesleyan” challenge. If IWU can raise $50,000 from alumni and friends today, the school will receive an additional $100,000 for financial aid and scholarships from a challenge donor. IWU can no longer meet full financial need, and if this works, we could generate over $150,000 toward this effort. I made my gift this morning at iwu.edu/challenge. It took just a minute. I don’t know if you already give to IWU or not, but either way, today is a great day to give something because the challenge basically triples the impact. Alumni support is critical to maintaining the strength and quality of the University, and you as a graduate have benefited from the generosity of those who came before you. I ask you to please pay forward that same generosity today and help the next generation of IWU students. Additionally, you should know that the percentage of alumni who give is used when publications rank colleges. It doesn’t matter how much you give… just that you’re a donor. More donors = higher rankings = more valuable IWU degree. Please give a gift of any amount today. It’s easy and will really help the school and all student athletes! Thank you, Coach Eash
