So, the practice of women shaving their armpits is under 100 years old. Throughout the 1920s, various fashion writers tried to press the issue of objectionable hair being a curse of the legs as well, but it didnt really catch on until the 1940s. So, the practice of women shaving their legs is about 70 years old... I gave up regular shaving months ago and it is really freeing. I still enjoy the occasional smooth leg, but not on the daily.
