visa approved.. environmental technology (longest intrvw i guz) omg!! visa officer (na medha kaksha kattadu ankochu.) first delhi rejected.. secnd hyd 8thdec 8am vo: mute me: gud mrng sir how r u? vo: pass me ur i20 and passport me: sure vo: how many univs have u applied?(he tuk a gap of 10secs) me: 5 sir vo: how many have u got admit in?(he tuk a gap of 10secs) me: 4 sir!! vo: who is ur sponsr? me: my parents sir vo: what is his annual income? me: XXX amount sir vo: who elz? me:my grandfathr wen he came t knw my visa was rejectd bcoz of my sponsr he immediately sold land and deposited the money in my account sir vo: what r d subjects u have in ur frst sem? me: hydraulics engg, envi tech, sustainability law, GIS vo: wat is GIS? me: explained about mapping, contouring, planning vo: how much % in ur UG? me: 75 sir vo: i can see dat u have gone to delhi me: yes sir, i could not find possible dates in hyd so i had to go to delhi fr my intrvw sir. vo: wat happened der. y reject? me: at my visa i was askd abt my sponsr sir, bt nw i have well supportng docs which will be sufficient fr my tution sir. vo: oh, so ur subject is envi tech. does it come under civil engg? me: yes sr, in my UG alsi i had keen interst in dis particular subject so i opted fr dis university which has gud faculty. vo: who i supporting u? me: my father sir. he is the persn who gave me an idea of gre and US plan. wid his encouragement i came dis far nd hope so will study in US ad come back to my parents sir. vo: ok take back ur docs(i was thinkng omg not again) me: i believe in u. i am approving ur visa this tym.(oh really surprised) me: thank u sir. thank u very much everybdy does say confidene and smile r both imprtant. yes its true. i knw its a do or die situatiion fr applicants like me who have faced a reject. inspite of all the tension greet the officer with smile and give it wid confidence.
