well home after a very long but rewarding day, started the day with a laugh, Martin was loading the car to go to the LiveLighter Aged Care Games, gate open, foxie (our Jack Russel cross) in the back garden, then next doors chicken flies over the front fence, foxie bolts through the gate, grabs the chicken, lots of squaking, Martin yells at foxie, dog lets chicken go, then, oh I wish you could have seen it, chicken runs up the street chased by foxie who was chased by Martin yelling as he went, oh so funny, end result Martin catches foxie returns her to back yard, shuts the gate, hummm maybe should have done that before she got out, then he chases the chicken round Sarahs car, catches and returns the chicken to next door, then we left for the Aged Care Games. Me not much help too busy enjoying it all. The LiveLighter Aged Care Games was held at Arena Joondalup today, 12 teams of seniors in care came together to take part in the event playing seated hockey, seated pass ball, bean bag toss and skittles. Approx 120 seniors in care participated in the games with volunteers & carers making the number attending about 180. The volunteers are absolutely essential to make these days successful thank you to all of you for coming along and working so hard at the games, they worked from 8.30 to 2pm and trust me there was definitely not rest apart from 20 minutes for lunch so thanks again for everything.
