whenever Im the passenger in my own car it always feels like the driver is going twice as fast as they really are.I guess its like a metaphor for life not being in the drivers seat.i have a false sense of security when ever Im behind the wheel,Im impervious to anything going wrong.I pretty much always drive the speed limit except when Im heading down molooa hill.years ago i was talking to Paul Lindo and he said that whenever he pulled off lighthouse road onto his street he downshifted and resisted the urge to shift into a higher gear because if he did it meant he was driving to fast,Paul is all about respect.whenever i turn onto liliokalani i drive below the posted speed limit and if Im with someone else i tell them to slow down in my hood.even at 20 miles an hour i cant stop fast enough if a dog or a kid runs out in front of me.if i see someone speeding on my street i go all rambo and start yelling at them,if i see someone burning rubber i fight the temptation to pick up a rock and throw it at them.I have no patience for people that feel they need to drive to fast and pass people because they are running late and see no problem with putting other peoples lives in danger.life is precious slow down before you ruin someone elses life and in turn your own,show some respect.
