who knew what a trip to Target could do for my soul - been out of the classroom 7 years now and tonight the young lady checking me out remembered me - then made my day. I used to spend the first day of school every year teaching my conduct policy - two words: Be Noble. Period. I used a clip of Sean Connery as King Arthur (and other things) to teach them what nobility was, and that became our test of all behavior. and I gave each student a laminated card at the end of the school year that said Remember, Be Noble - tonight Arlene told me her card is still in her wallet. :)
