woke up at 6:30 am had a dream of a song..downloaded song..then fell back asleep..in during my snooze time..it seems I was nominated by Ian Morrison to list 3 things I am grateful for, for 5 days..as I am a bit rushed today..these will be brief yet still. Important. 1. My Dear Family, who have always had my back and given me unconditional love. As a small child, I had extreme pigeon toes and was put in tap school to help develop my legs and straighten them out..plus it helped eliminate having to keep wearing special shoes..turns out I liked to dance. My parents especially my Mum, saw I was a bit talented and they let me begin modeling and perform beginning at age 4. 2. My Godmother Marie McCullough she had a modeling agency..and used me often for fashion shows, and trade shows..at 12 yrs old I would help carry the clothes to T.V.shoots and though I was shy..encouraged me to go on a teen dance show..The show was hosted by Ed Hurst who was also a friend of my fathers. By age 14 Ed let me be an assistant putting on the records at his record hop on the Steel Pier..by the middle of that summer, he let me talk on the microphone and introduce songs while he took a little break..my first time alone on a huge stage..and I loved it! 3. My early age teaches..I was dyslexic..back then they thought kids were slow learners..My teachers recommended tutors as they knew I was a smart kid and could memorize songs etc..but didnt understand why I was not comprehending the written page..If I was read the material I could retain it all..thus began the long process of learning to read properly and to write..Something that has come in very handy in my life.. More tomorrow, as I need to put tonights show together and must READ the news and try and WRITE some jokes!
