yall that know me know i never freak out over any medical procedure. its just a shrug and grit my teeth and get thru it kinda thing. well, today, i had a liver biopsy scheduled where they were going in thru my jugular vein in my neck and down to my liver. for some unknown reason i was a nervous wreck. i mean i was freaking to the point that i was lying there with tears streaming down my face. again, something i do not do. i was in constant prayer the entire time. they gave me the normal dosage of versed and fentanyl twice because of it. well, they get everything ready, dr opens the kit and tests the needle and guess what... it was faulty! if he hadnt tested it beforehand, it would have been in my liver when he found out and they did not have another kit. they would have had to go to the local hospital for one while trying to stop my blood from clotting. say what ya want, but i bet the next time i freak like that, i yell STOP!
