you know, we tend to complain sometimes, and sometimes quite often, about what we do, or dont have, in life, or about some aspect of our lives that doesnt come close to what we want it to be. when this happens we have a great dissatisfaction with what it is we are complaining about. like we may be upset that someone else got a raise before we did, and weve been at our job longer. we may complain about the fact that we aren wealthier, that we dont have a bigger house, a nicer car, all the designer clothes that we want. we may complain when the bills are piling up or when everything just doesnt seem to go our way. we get a real bad case of the me, me, mes. but the thing is that we dont stop to think that we really have no right to complain, because it could be a lot worse. there are some people out there that have very little. they have no money, theyve lost their homes, they are living out of their cars, or a cardboard box, unemployed and suffering. they struggle each day just to find something to eat, and many days they dont find it. they would love to have our problems, our lives. because then at least theyd have a roof over their heads, food in their stomachs, clean clothes to wear, and a warm bed to sleep in. the point is that we need to stop worrying about what we dont have, and other problems which, in the grand scheme, are minor compared to what some face on a daily basis. what we need to do is what God teaches us to, to enjoy what we do have in life. He has given us so many amazing and wonderful blessings, which we fail to acknowledge, or appreciate, most of the time. He has given us life, He has given us family, He has given us love, He has provided for us a future which leads to prosperity in His kingdom, He has given us the means to live a comfortable life where we have three square meals a day, a roof over our heads, and warm bed to sleep in. so instead of complaining about what we dont have in life and what is wrong with our lives, let us instead be thankful for what we have, and also let us go out and share what we have with those that need it the most. let us go out and share the amazing blessings and love God has given us with those who could really use it. let us love, be happy, and be content. in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen. give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.-1 Thessalonians 5:18(ESV) 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.-Colossians 3:15-17(ESV) And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.-Colossians 3:15(ESV) And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.-Colossians 3:17(ESV) 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.-Matthew 6:25-34(ESV) Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.-Philippians 2:3(NLT)
