youtu.be/co6WMzDOh1o A little U2 for you. I had a Beautiful Day today. Im feeling FRISKY and PERKY. The weather was wonderful; slight breeze, bright sun, clean air to breathe. Shannon came to see me today and, since I was almost done with my lunch (and since it WAS a Beautiful Day), I figured I could take a Stroll with her. It was a wonderful walk, too. The other Lesson horses were in the adjacent pasture to one of our hilly bits and so we walked past them 4 times. I saw Buttercup (the pretty Mule who lives across from me) out there ~ she waved at me with her ears :D Shoeless White Sox was in the back paddock, and as per my usual M.O., I sneered at him when we went by him. We walked along the back of the outdoor Arena next to the Mare pasture and LO AND BEHOLD...someone stuck a NEW TREE out there! Boy, was I curious about THAT thing. I dragged Shannon over to the new Tree and just looked and looked. I was so intrigued, my ears stood straight up and we just stood there for awhile while I took it all in. She just stood still and scratched my face (I like that) and let me look at the tree. It was very nice; the breeze was just enough to blow my hair askew, and the sun was so warm...I think we stood by that tree for over 5 minutes and did absolutely nothing. Which was also nice. We walked around for about 20 minutes and enjoyed the Beeeutiful weather. OH! And I got my hooves trimmed today! I feel so much BETTER. That made Shannon really HAPPY to see me with my feet trimmed...trimmed hooves are SO IMPORTANT and more so for me because of my illness over the summer. I didnt trip or stumble once during our walk. In fact, I felt so good when we got back to the barn, I gave Shannon smooches (but she does that to me a lot too). I got a clean room, fresh bedding, fresh bucket of water (which I drank down immediately and she had to get me more), a nice walk, a nice grooming, and nice pretty feet :D and someone who loves me very much What more could a fella want? Looking forward to the rest of the week. But what a Beautiful Day today. Feelin like a Shiny New Dime... See you soon, Love, ABBOTT
