The Muslim Spelling Bee would not be possible without the support of our Host Schools DarulArqam-NJ, Al Ihsan- New York, Mohammad Schools of Atlanta, Al Hadi School of Excellence-Texas, Islamic School of Irving-Texas, MCC Fulltime School-Illinois, Precious Sprouts of Ann Arbor, Muslim Community School- Maryland. Alhumduillah we are finally hosting the Muslim Spelling Bee 2013 competition. InshaAllah, Our schedule is: (Note this is approximate timing, depending on the performance of the participants the next group might start earlier to complete the competition at the earliest. So students and parents be present till your Group is concluded, we will not wait for any student/students).(We have a tight schedule for Saturday, as we have to vacate the theatre by 4.30 PM max). Date: November 30th, 2013 Location: Des Plaines Theatre, Des Plaines, Illinois. 8.30-9.30 AM sign-in ( All parents and participants report during this time). 8.30-9.30 AM Breakfast and Social Networking. 9.30 AM opening ceremony Welcome Speech by Tausif Malik & Al Quran Majeed recitation. Message from the Governor of Illinois Pat Quinn to be read by Sister Sohair Omar, Muslim Liaison, Office of the Governor & Deputy Director Illinois Finance Authority. Dr.Mohammad Hasnain to speak about how our Children can excel in competitions. 9.45.AM Group A Certification:11.15 AM 11.30 AM Group B Certification:1.15 PM 1.30 PM Group C Certification:2.25 PM 2.30 PM Group D Certification:4.00 PM Award Ceremony-4.15 PM-4.30 PM Launch of GlobalMuslimObserver by the 12 National Champions. Due to limited space Groups can pray the Zuhr and Asr Salat (we have made arrangements). Due to time constraints,we will not have a lunch break.
