৯-১১ নিয়ে বাঙ্গালী মুসলমানদের মাথা ব্যাথা আসলে খুবই কম, কারন যারা নিহত হয়েছেন তারা সাকলেই নন-মুসলিম ছিলেন প্রায়, ৯-১১ তে আমি আসলে মিক্সড ফিলিংস এ ছিলাম, কারন আমি দেখছিলাম কিছু লোক অত্যন্ত খুশি আমার আসে পাশে, আবার কিছু লোক এটা যে কোরান বহু বছর আগেই বলে গিয়েছে তা নিয়ে আলোচনা করছিলো। খুব কম লোককেই দুঃখিত দেখেছিলাম, আমার মা আমাকে বারবার বলছিলেন আমার মামার খবর নিতে, যখন দেখলেন তারা ঠিক আছেন তিনিও খুব একটা চিন্তা প্রকাশ করলেন না। ৯-১১ একজন আমেরিকানের জুতো পরে দেখার সৌভাগ্য হয় যখন ২ বছর আগে আমার এক আমেরিকান ক্লায়েন্টের সাথে ব্যাপারটি নিয়ে কথা বলি। আমি বুঝতে পারি দুঃখ যেখানেই থাকুক তার রঙ একই, আমেরিকাতে নিহত হয়ে যাওয়া কোন মার্কিন এক্সেকিউটিভ এবং আফগানিস্তানে নিহত হওয়া কোন বেকার যুবকের পরিবারের দুঃখতে আসলে সামান্য ফারাক নেই। ধরন এক রঙ্গও এক। ৯-১১ নিয়ে আমার প্রিয় গায়ক এলান জ্যাকসনের গাওয়া একটি গান হিট করে, কারো ইচ্ছে হলে ইউটিউব থেকে শুনে নিতে পারেন। Where were you when the world stopped turning Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?
