പ്ലീനം വിലക്ക് ലംഘിച്ച് ആലപ്പുഴയിലും അമ്പല കമ്മറ്റിയിൽ സിപിഎം ലോക്കൽ നേതാക്കൾ കയറിപ്പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് വാർത്ത. ഗണപതി ഹോമം മുതലായ മതപരമായ ചടങ്ങുകളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണോ ഇവിടെ കമ്മ്യുണിസ്റ്റ് പാർട്ടിക്ക് പൊതുവെ അപചയം വന്നിട്ടുള്ളത്? അല്ലെന്നു നേതാക്കൾക്കും അണികൾക്കും ഒരുപോലെ അറിയാം. അതിനു മറ്റു പല കാരണങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട് എന്ന് വിവരമുള്ളവർ പറയുന്നുണ്ട് താനും. പക്ഷെ, ഇതെല്ലാം പഴയ ഗോപാലസേനയെ പോലെ കുറെ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരെ ഹിന്ദുക്കളെ തല്ലാനും കൊല്ലാനും ഒരുക്കി നിർത്താൻ വേണ്ടിയുള്ള ഒരു അടവ് ആണെന്നുവേണം കരുതാൻ. ചുരുങ്ങിയപക്ഷം നേതാക്കന്മാർ എങ്കിലും ഇതെല്ലാം വായിച്ചിരിക്കുമല്ലോ: Marx and Engels most resolutely denounced the attempts of the anarchists and...others to use coercive methods against religion.
