ข้อความจากนักร้องนำ The Kooks อย่างอิน I felt I had to make a statement to commemorate the release of See Me Now. It is quite a strange feeling putting out a song that is so personal and also that is part song part counsel. I think it has helped me in my search for answers and I really hope it will help others to find some peace when confronted by death. I wanted to make a connection, in a way I wrote it for everyone I know who has experienced something similar and also those who I have yet to meet. My dad, Bob, died of a heart attack when I was three years old. The doctors did all they could before he actually passed and he was in and out of hospital operating theatres, including them giving him a pigs heart and then a human heart when they could. Its important to me to acknowledge the incredible and selfless work that the NHS does every day and also the British Heart Foundation which is an amazing charity. He should have lived longer and it still cuts me up that he could never see me become a musician, being that he was a songwriter and singer himself. Mum always made me feel like he was around in a way, we always talked about him. She is the most wonderful and strong woman. I do wonder why I have chosen to share so much of a personal thing, and it wouldnt have happened without the help of my friend and writing partner Inflo, he helped me gain the confidence to write the song. He wrote the music, I told the story. Also the guys in the band from the start supported me with the song, even as it was a bit of a lone effort. After all music to me is all about sharing our stories, our fears, our humanity. This song I hope does this. We are all in it together. Love is the only way. Thanks for listening.
