(ทั่วไป) Gem Water by Michael Gienger Possibilities, Limitations & Dangers Sardonyx water against tinnitus, chrysoprase water for detoxification and purification, emerald water for inflammations, aquamarine water for allergies… The list of gem waters, which are used for discomforts and diseases of different kinds, is long, and constantly grows. For a long time the outer applications, such as wearing and applying the healing stones, have been dominant. Today, many people are taking mineral stone elixirs and gem waters. You can also improve the quality of drinking water through precious stones. Many households have water jugs with a basic mixture of amethyst, rock crystal and rose quartz. Another favourite is also a mixture of coloured calcite, which is supposed to improve digestion. Basically, gem water is nothing new. The Greek Dr. Dioskurides in his “Doctrine of medical remedies” published applications of this kind in the first century after Christ. And, naturally, Hildegard von Bingen is also a foremother of this practice. In her “Book about Minerals” she writes: “He who has pains of the heart, stomach difficulties or pains of the belly should warm the rock crystal in the sun and pour the water over this warm mineral. Then he should put this stone into the water for an hour, take it out and drink the water regularly. Thus the heart, stomach and belly will feel better.” Mineral Water and Gem Water But what happens, if we put precious stones, minerals or stones into water? According to the composition and characteristics of the stones, different things can happen. Thus, some minerals and stones give substances into the water. Sodium, calcium, iron and several more can be dissolved in water. Basically we know this from nature, where water always contains dissolved minerals, sometimes more, sometimes less, and thus becoming “mineral water”. This could be healing water in a proper mixture. These mineral waters are known as healing sources for eye diseases, kidney difficulties, digestive problems, rheumatism and many more. Mineral water can be used as drinking water. But it can become undrinkable or toxic through incompatible minerals, such as heavy metals, for example.
