✻ღϠ₡ღ✻GORGEOUS¸.•´TERRIFIED¸.•´PHILONA ✻ღϠ₡ღ✻ *** PHILONA IS TERRIFIED IN THE SHELTER*** ¸.•*¨*•►So less than a week after she was found running Brooklyn streets, less than a week of sitting in a cage at Manhattan ACC 24 x 7, 4 year old Philona is fighting for her life. ACC has put this gorgeous GSD on tomorrow’s euthanasia list and made her NH only. She wasn’t happy to get picked up, she wasn‘t happy during her intrusive intake physical, and she was not at all happy to be stared at and “positioned” during her behavioral eval. But look closely at that medical, she was found in decent health when she got there. And look closely at her behavioral eval—she had no resource guarding issues and was fine on the dog on dog item! And of course, look at what a gorgeous girl she is. No doubt all GSD owners out there are shaking their heads, knowing how tough these dogs find the confinement, noise and chaos of shelter life. Tonight, Philona needs to find that GSD savvy person who knows that she needs a reasonable period of time to figure out her new surroundings, to figure out what the rules of a new home are, to figure out who’s in charge and to give her new people her unquestioning loyalty for years to come. If you’re that person, start working with rescues to foster or adopt Philona.
