粉红鞋印度义工行分享（10） 主题：Love, Service, Experience 文/照片: Terrence Wong 黄俊伟 (粉红鞋成员/粉红鞋印度行义工） I was invited by my wife Angelia Gan to join the India, Kolkata volunteer trip. Without thinking too much, I agreed to go with my wife and my sister-in-law, Martha. There was a lot bad comments about India from my friends and colleagues. But who cares, the purpose I went there is to serve and help the poor peoples. After we touched town at Kolkata airport, we took a taxi (yellow cab) to our hotel. Unfortunately the taxi driver did not actually know the direction. Furthermore we had language barrier with the taxi driver. After a few turns around our hotel area, we had finally reached our hotel. Thanks God!!! It was around 2.30am in India after we settled our luggage in time room. The room is dirty and smiley. I was managed to sleep around 4.30am. The 2nd day I was very tired because lack of sleep & worry about the bed bug in my room. I woke up around 9am and walked around inside the town. To be surprise, I saw many men were happily taking their shower on the street with half naked. Beggars were all around the town where they will put their very best efforts to convince you to give moneys to them. Beside that, you will find a lot of homeless poeples sleeping on the street. Thus please be cautious when you are walking on the road. Weve been giving chance to visit Mother Teresa House and I would say this is one of my favourite place to go in Kolkata. After reading Mother Teresa past history about her accomplishments towards India society, I feel so ashamed as Mother Teresa has contributed all her life to serve God and to help the poor & sick peoples in India. For her, God is love & God is everything for her. In our reality life, some of the peoples are just too money-minded. For them, money is everything. Big house, luxury car & luxury lifestyle is more important for them. So as Mother Teresa said, once the longing for money comes, the longing also comes for what money can give-superflous things. Our needs will increase, for one thing leads to another & the result will be endless dissatisfaction. I choose to serve Prem Dan which gather all the old and sick peoples. Everyday I need to wash clothes, clean the floor and etc. For me it is more meaningful than my current job where the works is free from stress & pressure & there is no any target for me to achieve. This job required a lot of love, patience, endurance, determination & caring from my heart. I had a very special birthday celebration with all the Pinkshoe members and also the volunteers from all aound the world. We had a simple dinner at the rooftop of a hostel that I never experience before. Thank you so much to my wife Angelia which brought me a birthday cake. It was an unforgetable birthday celebration in my life. Last but not least I would like to thank to The Pink Shoes who organize these volunteer trip which I never experience before. I would defenitely go back again in the future. 粉红鞋小编手记： 陪老婆一起到印度当义工的男人真的很棒！这趟粉红鞋义工行就有两个很棒的男人，俊伟就是其中一位啦。我跟俊伟夫妻认识也是在天主教的一个活动，之后他们都积极参与或策划有关“服务他人”的活动，我想，能在婚姻里一起学习服务，真是上主给他们夫妇的一份好礼物。 收获是什么？我想只有身历其境才能心领神会吧！祝福他们，也祈祷祝福还未成为夫妻的男女朋友们勇敢的来场义工之旅吧！男女要是能够在最艰辛的环境中一起走过（学习看到他人的需要），还怎会怕未来婚姻路需要的包容、谦卑与耐性？ 今天，愿主祝福所有伴侣，客服挑战互助互爱一辈子。god bless you :)
