산업선교 메시지 2014/10/18 Business Mission Message Acts16:16-18 Welfare and Mission Introduction Welfare to me is not only the prayer kept the most in my heart but also the biggest worry. Ten years ago I told to my secretaries to study about the welfare. Also I told the same thing to my son five years ago. 1, The third evangelism movement We cannot say it’s wrong but the churches only go out to evangelize by distributing the tracks. All successful organizations are penetrating the people with three strategies. 1) Culture 2) Social welfare 3) NGO These three are very important evangelism movement. Free Mason started the welfare in Korea in 1952. Free Mason penetrated Korea after Korean civil war broke out in 1950’s. Why Paul penetrated into the synagogues? Acts13, 16, and 19 are the core part of Paul’s evangelism. In these he penetrated the dying people. Why he went upto Rome through the criminal procedure? For this purpose he did. These three are the core of evangelism movement. In America, for example, the religious organizations especially three organizations are doing very well in social welfare. What about Jews? When we purchased the hostel in Boston, one who was in charge of the mortgage was Jew and helped us a lot when he heard that we applied the mortgage to buy the hostel. Elder Yoon shared the gospel when he attended to my meeting and he shared that first time in his life he heard about Jesus Christ. To that much Jews are ahead of welfare. In Japan welfare is well set up and the government allows church to be involved in welfare. In Korea social welfare is tended to make a living. In this sense pastor Yoon Youngwha is someone special. His family line is involved in welfare. I think his family line can be remembered in welfare. In Korea if welfare is taken in church it is done by the local church. When the local church goes well it also goes well. Otherwise it will fail. That’s the reason why the department of welfare mission is necessary. The previous church to Emmanuel church in Jangjidong was a church crumbled by doing welfare. That pastor got into the prison for long time ago and now I am not sure whether he was released or not. Pastors in risk lack of cooperation with the department of welfare mission. That’s why the department of welfare mission must find out which churches are involved in this and help them. 2, Task- Department of welfare mission must develop three things. 1) System to connect welfare with church If a system is made many people will join though you don’t advertise. The first task for the department of welfare mission is to provide the legal help to set up the organization or the legal advice in maintaining the organization. Pastor Yoon couple and their team take this job and now our work is stabilized. This is the job that Department of welfare mission must take. 2) Welfare and Evangelism Practically you must help to legally connect the welfare and the evangelism. You need to check carefully the legal part in helping to open the study roon, counselling center, and the healing center. 3) Welfare and Mission For example, now we are helping Vanuatu. That mission started with Emmanuel church but now head quarter takes control of it. If welfare goes well within the law it can be related to the government and the politicians in social affair. We can do both welfare and mission legally within the law. There is community hall in every town. But nothing is going on with welfare. Our team entered one community hall and has been taking welfare. By seeing these department of welfare mission must develop the system to connect welfare and church, welfare and evangelism, and welfare and mission. This is the challenging task in 21 century. Somehow church never took this job with lacking of information. Why don’t you who are involved in welfare study this area more? This can be the best evangelism. In other words, how much legally system is set up to connect welfare and church, welfare and evangelism, or welfare and mission is the key. There are big churches and small churches. Problem lies to the small churches. If you can help the small churches in getting them involved in welfare so that they can evangelize and do the mission work, it may bring great success. Great door of evangelism will be opened in the world when you have an eye with welfare. 3, Future Mission Future mission is also welfare. Why? 1) Mt24:1-14 Age of disaster will come. 2) 2Tim3:1-13 Age of suffering will come. 3) Rev12:1-9 Age of spiritual confusion rather than comfort will come in the end. 12 problems Bible says that man cannot avoid 12 problems. These have been since long age ago and will continue in the future. Welfare is the best strategy which can give the answer for these problems. Many people are suffering from disease which is of course included in 12 problems. Elites have more diseases. New Age is doing great job with these people. To a professional golf player Choi’s surprise the renowned players are doing something secretly. New Age takes the mind control or mental healing program for these people. Church is doing nothing in field. They approach to the movie stars as well. This is timetable for Darakbang families who are involved in evangelism must deeply think about this. Work out with Number 2 realistically. Within the law set up the welfare system in every region. Then churches can work together. To me the mission of department of welfare missions is great. If Emmanuel church is not doing well, department of welfare missions must take an action in giving counsel. I have a lot of worries of welfare. Department of welfare missions must develop three tasks mentioned in No 2. Then many works will take place. Now we are ready to do this job from remnant to leader.
