But let’s play along the media and pretend that this “new” development is in fact “NEWS”. So TEPCO now estimates that most of the fuel did in fact melted out of the reactor pressure vessel in Reactor 3. They had previously said some of the fuel was still inside the reactor. Their latest analysis however states the cooling system was already dysfunctional before workers shut it down on March 13th. It says a meltdown in Unit 3 started at 5.30 AM. That’s about 5 hours earlier than previously “guessed” ——> which is still a guess! As expected, TEPCO is again falling short of coughing up the big word: “Melt Out”, a much more dire scenario in which the molten have found already its way out of the primary containment vessel … and releasing it to the environment. But since we are not in the “speculating business”, we’ll wait until TEPCO admits it, which will certainly be followed by another meaningless “Gomenasai” ! Consequently, TEPCO will have to revise their inventory of isotopes released from that unit alone. TEPCO is know to “update” these numbers often. A few weeks ago, TEPCO got busted on concealing their responsibility of re contaminating Minami Soma while removing debris off Unit 3 last summer, spewing highly radioactive dust across the area. Not to be nonchalant about this whole mess, but the only thing we know for sure is ; Daiichi is spewing, melting, sinking, leaking, rotting and NOT freezing (trying to build a frozen wall to stop contaminated waters in the SUMMER HEAT is very odd). What we don’t know or will know long after the facts is … WHEN! tepco.co.jp/tepconews/library/archive-j.html 東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故の検証で、３号機では、これまでの推定より早く燃料が溶け出し、大部分が原子炉から格納容器に溶け落ちたとする新たな解析結果がまとまりました。専門家は、今後の燃料の取り出しがより難しくなるおそれもあると指摘しています。 ３年前の原発事故を巡り、東京電力は未解明の問題の検証を続けていて、６日、一部の検証結果を公表しました。 こ のうち、３号機では、バッテリーで動いていたＨＰＣＩと呼ばれる緊急用の原子炉の冷却装置を事故の２日後の３月１３日の未明に運転員が手動で停止し、ポン プによる注水に切り替えようとしましたが、うまくいかず、原子炉の冷却の遅れにつながったと政府の事故調査・検証委員会で指摘されました。 これに ついて、東京電力が原子炉の圧力などのデータを分析したところ、ＨＰＣＩは手動で停止するより前の３月１２日午後８時ごろには機能を失ったとみられ、解析 の結果、これまでの推定より５時間余り早い３月１３日の午前５時半ごろから燃料が溶け始めて、翌１４日の午前７時ごろには原子炉の底を突き破り、大部分が 格納容器にまで溶け落ちた可能性があると分かったということです。これまで、３号機で格納容器に溶け落ちた燃料は、一部と考えられていました。 また、今回東京電力は、消防車を使った注水が行われた２号機の原子炉内で燃料と水が反応して水素とともに大量の熱が発生し、メルトダウンに拍車をかけたという新たな解析結果をまとめました。 東京電力は、原子炉の水位が下がって燃料がむき出しになるような深刻な事態になった場合、迅速に十分な注水ができなければ、かえってメルトダウンを進めてしまうことを示しているとしています。 Nelson Live from Lalaland Evacuate Fukushima 福島の子供を守れ Knowledge is the first step! 知ることがまず一歩です !
