-Pray4zion.org Similarity between the beginning and the end of the Church Age is a very sad one… Then, just as now, the people of God were divided into many conflicting and rivalling denominations. There were the Pharisees, Sadducees, the Herodians, the Essenes and others, each wanting to protect their domains and obtain more converts… but, as a group, none of then actually received the blessing that accompanied the First Coming of Christ. Most of them rejected the Lord because they couldn’t recognize Him when He came! They were too engrossed in seeking ministerial success, position, bigger congregations for their Synagogues, the honour of man …and more of this world’s goods. They didn’t love the presence of the One who created them and had called them into ministry. They loved the ministry but they didn’t really love Him. The religious leaders of that day, leaders of God’s only true people, couldn’t accept the loss of things that they wanted in life. If only there had been a desire in their hearts for the One they had been called to know and make known, then they would have gladly laid down everything and would have run after His presence along with their sheep. Then they wouldn’t have lost their sheep. Rather, they would have been among the many spiritual leaders whom the Chief Shepherd Yeshua (Jesus) placed over His flock after the Cross! The Lord of Glory is going to visit His people again… and, when that happens, there will be many leaders of the true people of God whose lack of relationship with the Lord will revealed by their lack of living water. In many cases, just as in the First Coming these leaders will attack the King of Glory, who will be manifesting Himself in and through His people. Instead of yielding in repentance and choosing the way of the cross, the only way to an eternal Kingdom… they will attempt to place Him on the cross… spiritually speaking. The Beginning and the End of the Church Age will be both wonderfully and yet tragically, the same. What side will we be on in that day when our Lord returns…? Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbour. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name. And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him. Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him. Malachi 3:16-18
