1 Sleep (assuming I can) before the PEPL party! Candlelight swim Thursday night, before the party really gets going, and then BAM!!!, its Evolve! Ahhh... it feels like just yesterday (7 years ago) I was preparing (not that anything could truly prepare me, though) for what was to become my true home... a truly transcendent experience that opened my mind more than any other thing... Evolve 2008. Here I am, these 7 years later, and Camp Valhalla stands as a testament to putting yourself out there, wearing your weird on the outside, and welcoming all others, no matter who they are, or where they came from, and being precisely who you wish... Every year, Evolveterans complain, like old grumpy people, that Evolve has changed, and that its filled w bros and hoes... forgetting that it takes more than your first experience to let go, and evolve into who youre meant to be... Welcome them, assertively, and dont shy away from them; Evolve is a microcosm of who we want to be... Who we CAN be... and since we all start at different places in our lives, with different baggage, and defences learned in our normal lives, it becomes a constant evolution... What I am saying is this: Be the Evolution. Be the change. Be the reason someone opens their mind. And be strong enough, with our new Evolvirgins, to show them the way... The way of a confident, responsible, and caring society, that can reach beyond Black Avon Road, beyond Heatherton, beyond Antigonish, NS... Carry it into your lives, everyday, and help others realize that we ARE the Evolution... And with it, we can change everyone around us, one Happy Evolve at a time. I love you all.
