*** 1120PM Current Rainfall situation for Sydney *** Some falls passing 100mm south of Sydney including 101mm at Cronulla south & Sans Souci, 95mm at Strathfield, 97mm Canterbury, just some of the big falls as the feeder band keeps pushing heavy falls in the same areas. Flash flooding is occurring in many parts of the city and suburbs doe to this quantity of rain in such a short amount of time. Thunderstorms are still occurring in this band as well as it feeds in from the east as well as heavy snowfalls in the Blue mountains. Rain areas with heavy falls/local thunderstorms and very strong winds will continue most of the night before easing tomorrow afternoon to scattered showers, winds will also ease.
