#1973 This happened recently in TCS Siruseri Chennai. One of my friend had kept her bag in the rack placed in washroom and when she returned, the mobile and her purse alone were stolen. She had kept 50 rupee sodexho and 100 rupees cash. Both were taken and thank god the purse with ATM card was in tact. She strongly suspected a girl and we mailed for checking the footage in CCTV cameras. Admin did not approve it and we had to request talk wait and literally beg them to check the footage and finally they agreed. In the entire Engineering Block(EB) there was only one CCTV cam near the stair case and even that was kind of blurred. We found the video of the same girl operating the mobile and walking. We could not surely figure out if that was the mobile since ultra zoom was not possible. Admin refused to share the footage with us for image correction. They also warned us not to ask the girl or proceed anything further in this action as this questions TCS value of integrity. Only thing they could do is that, if we find a solid clear evidence for the theft, the HR can request the accused associate for an inquiry. The HR seldom agrees for the same and HR convinces the victim. My questions are.. 1. Arent the racks kept for keeping bags when we use wash rooms? 2. If you say everything is monitored via CCTV footage, why not ODC entrance or corridors or any other important parts?? 3. What is the plan of action for such thefts? What the associate has to do? Can the cops be called inside ODC for investigation??? #clueless
