2/Ahl-Sunnah Wa’l Jama’ah Sufism Thought:- Welcome to Sufism President, the present genuine spiritual master of Azad Kashmir khalifa [, Sufism president] pir Shaykh murshid dervish fiqeer sufi sultan Mahmood Qadiri, Naqshbandi Chisti, Suhrawardi & Awais al-Qarani class /order tariqh spiritually in possession of spiritual goods, surrender, faith, excellences, reality, wisdom, in bliss for all kinds of humans. Islamic teachings and laws, deals with the basis of creeds, morality, worship, man’s relation with God, and human relationships in all aspects. Social justices, economics, politics, & all important contents of human way of life; and God has perfected His religion, Islam, for us and completed His favor unto us through the last Prophet Muhammad [s.a.w] and today we are known has the Ahl-Sunnah Wa’l Jama’ah, who bear witness that God has completed his favor to mankind by sending His last Messenger Muhammad [s.a.w] to mankind & completing Islamic way of life for mankind through Muhammad [s.a.w]. Islam is a complete way of life that governs all facets of life: moral, spiritual, social, political, economical, intellectual, etc. To become Muslim, a person of any race or culture must say a simple statement, the “shahadah” (, the “witnessing”), bearing witness to the belief in the One God and that Prophet Muhammad [s.a.w] is the last Prophet of God. Muslim is one who submits to the will of God, regardless of race, nationality or ethnic background. Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process that requires no pre-requisites. One may convert in the presence of others. “We did not send the Messenger before you [, O Muhammad s.a.w,] without revealing to him that ‘None has the right to be worshipped except I, therefore worship Me’” (Quran 21:25). All worship, whether it is praying, fasting, invoking, seeking refuge in, and offering an animal as sacrifice is directed to God, Allah, and to God, Allah, alone. All acts of worship is carried out sincerely for the Sake of God, Allah, alone. Obey and follows the commands of the Prophet [s.a.w]. We need to believe in what the last Prophet Muhammad [s.a.w] has said, practice his [s.a.w] teachings and avoid what he [s.a.w] has forbidden. We need to worship God, Allah, only according to the last Prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w] teaching alone, for all the teachings of the Prophet [s.a.w], in fact revelations and inspirations conveyed to him [s.a.w] by God. We should at least try to mold our lives and character and emulate the Prophet [s.a.w], as he was a living example for humans to follow because Muhammad [s.a.w] is indeed upon a high standard of moral character” (Quran 68:4). “And indeed you have a good and upright example in the Messenger [s.a.w] of God, for those who hope in the meeting of God and the Hereafter, and mentions God much” (Quran 33:21). Upon entering the fold of Islam purely for the Pleasure of God, all of our previous sins are forgiven, and we start a new life of piety and righteousness. The Prophet [s.a.w] said to a person who had placed the condition upon the Prophet [s.a.w] in accepting Islam that God would forgive his sins: “Do you not know that accepting Islam destroys all sins which come before it?” “The only religion in the sight of God is Islam” (Quran 3:19). “Whoever testifies that there in none worthy of being worshipped but God, Who has no partner, and that Jesus is the Servant of God, His Prophet, and His word(i.e. He says to something “Be”, and it is) which He bestowed in Mary and a spirit created from Him; and that Muhammad [s.a.w] is His servant and the last Prophet of God and that Paradise (Heaven) is true, and that the Hellfire is true, God will eventually admit him into Paradise, according to his deeds.” “Indeed God has forbidden to reside eternally in Hell the person who says: “I testify that none has the right to worship except Allah, (God),’ seeking thereby the Face of God.”The Last Prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w] came with clear proofs and instructions, confirming the prophets before him; And if they deny thee (Muhammad s.a.w), even so they did deny messengers before thee, who came with miracles and with the Psalms and with the Scripture giving light (Quran 3:183). “God commands us that we worship none but God, Allah, and that is right religion, Islam, but most men know not” [Holy Qur’an]. “Have you seen him who chooses for his god his own lust? So follow not the vain desires of people who erred and led many astray and erred from a plain road to Islam.” Only by submitting to the Commands of the Creator and Sustainer, Allah, we can one achieve real happiness and peace! “O mankind! A proof from your Lord, Allah, come unto you, and we have sent down unto you a clear light” (Quran 4:174). Allah has chosen for you as religion-Al-Islam, a complete way of life of peace & love. Those humans with pure heart, mind, soul, accept God’s way of life, Islam and become believers, Muslims & Muslim means, one who submits itself to the will of God”. Over one billion Muslims from a vast range of races, nationalities and cultures across the globe - from the southern Philippines to Nigeria - all are united by their common Islamic faith. The Muslims are the worlds second largest Muslim community is in Indonesia; Asia; Africa; Middle East; Soviet Union, China, North and South America, England and Europe. Islam is a multi-national, & its faith is of Muslims of Ahl-Sunnah Wa’l Jama’ah in every country! Muslim has to fulfill five pillars of Islam and their practices must be undertaken with the best of the effort in order to be considered has a true Muslim of Islam: Shahadah – declaration of faith in the oneness of God and that Muhammad [s.a.w] is the last prophet of God; Prayer five times a day; Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan; Poor-due charity - 2.5% of ones savings given to the needy at the end of each year & Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able. A Muslim has to understand & believe in six kalmias, in Islamic Six Articles of faith in Islam. They are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God; in the Angels created by Him; in the Prophets through whom His revelations were brought to mankind; in the Day of Judgment and individual accountability for actions; in Gods complete authority over human destiny, and in life after death. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting from Adam[AS] in line of prophets to Noah[AS], in line of prophets to Abraham AS] to Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist, in line of prophets to a Jesus[As] to Muhammad [s.a.w], God’s final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that has gone before is completely revealed to the last of God Prophet Muhammad [s.a.w] through Gabriel [AS].After this a Muslim believe in the final articles of faith which develop within in a Muslim heart, soul, mind, body, a creed of Islam to believe in One God; all the Prophets of God; all the original scriptures revealed to Prophets Moses, David, Jesus, and the Holy Qur’an revealed to the last Prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w] through Angel Gabriel [AS]. Believe in all the Angels; the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. The divine decree (or destiny) that good & bad is from God, concerning spiritually that which you know not? Only God know it. When we have from our heart, mind, soul, body have accepted Islamic belief & than we need to do is try our all best to fulfill our Prayer in Islam? “Salat” (, prayer) is the second pillar of Islam and the most important pillar after the declaration of faith. Salat is the name for the obligatory prayers which are performed five times a day, and are a direct link between the worshipper and God. There is no hierarchical authority in Islam, and no priest-hoods, so the prayers are led by any taught person, pious righteous believer, Muslim, who knows the Holy Quran, chosen by the congregation. These five prayers contain verses from the Holy Quran, and are said in Arabic, the language of the Revelation, but personal supplication [, Dua] can be offered in ones own language but it is best to read it in Qur’anic Arabic. Prayers are said at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and nightfall, and thus determine the rhythm of the entire day. Although it is preferable to worship with fellow Muslims of Ahl-Sunnah Wa’l Jama’ah, together in a mosque, a Muslim can pray is prayer in anywhere in clean place, such as in clean fields, clean offices, clean factories and clean schools, colleges & universities. Pious righteous Muslim in the world does prayers in daily life. Allah is an Arabic word that means God. Arabs use the name “Allah” to mean God. Muhammad [s.a.w] is directly descended from the Prophet Ishmael [AS] son of Abraham [AS], who built the Kaba towards which all Muslims turn when they pray. Pious Muslims has religion, Islam, always uppermost in their minds & heart, and make no division in Islam. Pious Muslim believes that the Divine Law, the Sharia, is taken very seriously. The Shari’a is accurately documented and faithfully preserved to our day. The authenticity of its records so preserved is vouched for not only by the faithful followers but even by prejudiced humans. The Encyclopedia Britannica states about the last Prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w], that ... he was an honest and upright man, who had respect and loyalty of others through being honest and upright men (Vol. 12). George Bernard Shaw said about the last Prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w]: He is the Savior of Humanity, he brought peace and happiness (The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936). Lamartine, the renowned historian, speaking on last prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w]:- Muhammad greatness means, cannot compare any man in modern history with Muhammad? The most famous men and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all the standards by which Human Greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater then he?... (Lamartine, Historire de la Turquie, Paris, 1854, Vol. II pp. 276-277). Thomas Carlyle in his Heroes and Hero Worship, said; how one man, [Muhammad] single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades. Michael H. Hart, writes: My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the worlds most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels (M.H. Hart, The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History, New York, 1978, p. 33). K.S. Ramakrishna Rao, an Indian professor of Philosophy, in his booklet”Muhammad the Prophet of Islam calls him the perfect model for human life. “And indeed you (O Muhammad s.a.w) are on an exalted standard of character” [Holy Qur’an, 68:4]. Today after a lapse of fourteen centuries, the life and teachings of Muhammad (pbuh) is available without the slightest loss, alteration or interpolation. Stop for a moment and ask yourself: Muhammad [s.a.w] extraordinary and revolutionary so put in some effort to know him, Muhammad [s.a.w] from Sufi’s of Ahl-i-Sunnah Wa’l Jama’ah? “So those who believe in him, [Muhammad s.a.w], honor him, help him, and follow the light which has been sent down with him, it is they who are successful (Quran 7:157). Muslims follow the subsequent, final, and preserved revelation of God, the Holy Quran. The Quran is a record of the exact words revealed by God through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It was memorized by Muhammad and then dictated to his Companions, and written down by scribes, who cross-checked it during his lifetime. Not one word of its 114 chapters has been changed over the centuries, so that the Quran is in every detail the unique and miraculous text which was revealed to Muhammad (pbuh) fourteen centuries ago. The Quran, the last revealed Word of God, is the prime source of every Muslims faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects that concern us as human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, and law, etc, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures. It provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and an equitable economic system. The “Sunna,” “the practice and example” of the Prophet [s.a.w], is the second authority for Muslims. “My[, Muhammad s.a.w] example is that of a man who built a house, so he built it completely and well except for a place of a brick. When the people entered it they wondered at its beauty and said “But for the place of this brick!” So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets.” “God has no mercy on one who has no mercy for others.” “None of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.” “Powerful is not he who knocks the other down, indeed powerful is he who controls himself in a fit of anger.” “God does not judge according to your bodies and appearances but He scans your hearts and looks into your deeds.” “I am the nearest of all people to Jesus son of Mary in this world and the next. The prophets are paternal brothers, their mothers are different but their religion is one.” “A human walking along a path felt very thirsty. Reaching a well descended into it, drank his fill and came up. Then saw a dog with its tongue hanging out, trying to lick up mud to quench its thirst. The human saw that the dog was feeling the same thirst as human had felt so human went down into the well again and filled human shoe with water and gave the dog a drink. God forgave human sins for this action. The Prophet was asked: Messenger of God, are we rewarded for kindness towards animals? He said, There is a reward for kindness to every living thing. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear God and obey me (Quran]. Each person is responsible for his or her own actions. On the Day of Judgment Muslims believe that every person will be resurrected and will have to answer to God for their every word, thought, and deed. Consequently, a practicing Muslim is always striving to be righteous. Muslims are those who deal kindly and justly with humans; “for God loves those who are just (Quran, 60:8). Terrorism and the killing of innocent people are forbidden in Islam. Islam is a way of life that is meant to bring peace to a society. The extreme actions of Wahhabism sect followers, Wahhabi’s /Salafi’s, who claim to be Muslim, may be, among other things, a result of their ignorance or uncontrolled anger. These people are individuals with their own sect founder follower views and political agendas. Fanatical Muslims are no more representative of the true Islamic teachings than those of Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism & Buddhism, etc, because the Extremism and fanaticism is a problem that is common to all religious sects, groups & parties. Do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors” (Holy Quran). The jihad is the inner struggle which Sufi’s of Sufism wages against egotistic desires, for the sake of submitting to their Creator and attaining inner peace. Indeed in that are Signs for those who reflect” (Holy Quran]. The best among you are those who treat their wives best, and I am best towards my wives. Islam grants women numerous rights in the home and in society. Among them is the right to earn money, to financial support, to an education, to inherit, to a dowry, to keep their maiden name, to worship in a mosque, etc, etc. If the woman demands, the husband must support her financially and then husband has no right in using her money. Muslim women wear the head-covering (hijab) in fulfillment of Gods decree to dress modestly. From a practical standpoint, it serves to identify one as attempting to follow God in daily life and, therefore, protects women from unwanted advances from men. This type of modest dress has been worn by righteous women throughout history including the Virgin Mary [AS], mother of Jesus [AS]; symbolizing their common belief, spiritual focus and direction to one God, Allah. “Lo! We have revealed the Scripture [, Holy Qur’an] unto thee [, Muhammad s.a.w] with truth; so worship God, making religion pure for Him only. Surely pure religion is for God only” (Quran 39:2-3). “And if you are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto our slave, then produce a chapter of the like thereof, and call your witnesses beside God if you are truthful” (Holy Quran]. “Those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth” (Quran 34:6). The Last Prophet of God Muhammad [s.a.w] is witness over all things” [Holy Qur’an]. “We shall show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that this is the Truth, [Holy Qur’an].
