2014.09 - Animonstar Magazine (Indonesia) - Interview on their Supernova Symphonia live in Malaysia! On the tour titled Alice Nine Supernova Symphonia held in Kuala Lumpur on June 29th, Animonstar got a special chance to meet and greet with the humble members of Alice Nine. Unfortunately, due to the tight schedule, the interview was done by e-mail after they are finished with the Asia tour. Shou, Hiroto, Tora, Saga, and Nao were vibrant answering our questions. All of them answered the questions personally. Here is the interview result, dated July 18th 2014. We are Animonstar from Indonesia. Congratulations with your first Asia Tour! Lets start the interview, shall we? Among all of the countries that you have visited so far, which one is the most memorable? Shou: Indonesia. The warm welcome, I can feel it until now Hiroto: Jakarta. We did have an Asia Tour, but the show we did in Jakarta on 2012 was very amazing Tora: On 2012 was when we could have an oversea live after awhile and when we visited Indonesia, we were welcomed by so many people. That moment on, I thought that we should tour the world Saga: I was so excited to have a live in an open space like the one in Singapore. Because the venue was near the sea, I felt very much free Nao: Jakarta! I love sate (note. Indonesian traditional food, its similar to yakitori) If you should represent a country with any of your songs, what would it be? And, can you describe it? Shou: The Beautiful Name sounds fit Northern Europe, doesnt it? Hiroto: I could think of Heavenly Tale from album 9 to represent Guiana Highlands in the Latin America, and Mugen from single Cross Game for China Tora: I cannot describe it with words Saga: On this tour, I saw many different things. I guess after visiting all parts of the world, Id be able to compose one song about them all Nao: Ill start composing a song about that! Please share any interesting stories in this Asia Tour! Shou: I ate hinabe in a shop in Chongqin, China. Hinabeyang that I had tasted so good. The daughter of the shop owner, she turned out to be my fan Hiroto: There were a lot of dogs and cats around the concert venues in China. It was fun walking around the venues Tora: Most of the venues are those I had not visited before so everyday felt interesting Saga: I had a massage in China because I felt tired. But, I was complaining instead because it was painful Nao: Stayed in the same room with Saga! What do you expect from the live in Malaysia? We heard that there were also fans coming from Indonesia to join the live. What do you think? Shou: I received messages from Indonesian fans when I was in Malaysia. I was so happy Hiroto: A lot of Indonesian fans were excited about going there. That made me feel glad! The live that we had (in Malaysia) didnt feel like the first oneman live we had (in Malaysia), that was very fun Tora: Although we could not go to more places in this tour, I was so thrilled knowing that there were fans who came to the nearest countries to theirs. I would be very happy to see Indonesian fans again Saga: I wish that all fans would be able to gather in our Asia Tour Nao: I want to make Alice Nine popular! I was so happy to have Indonesian fans there! I want to go to Indonesia again! What is the major target that you are aiming in this Asia Tour? Shou: To repay our fans for these 10 years (Note. 10 years of going along with them together) Hiroto: In these 10 years, I would love to share what we have built together to the fans around the world, which would be a stepping stone for Alice Nine. For me, this tour isnt only about making memory Tora: To be excited and not to miss any rehearsals during tour! Saga: I would want to make a lot of people to like Alice Nine music. I would want to show the live to all fans who came to see us Nao: I would like to write something about a band thats been together for about 10 years Now, wed like to talk about Alice Nine as a whole. Its been 10 years and you have tons of fan bases across the world. What do you think? Shou: I think, they have tried to understand Japanese (language) and Japanese songs for us. Thus, wed love to walk together with them through music and lyrics Hiroto: I never thought that this band would reach 10 or 20 years, I feel so grateful. Through technology like internet, it feels like there are no boundaries in sharing information about songs, and it feels great. But when were up on stage, we can show the real music with a powerful performance. To constantly doing this, is another challenge for us Tora: Its fun to have people looking for (information about) you. Ill do the best for all those who have waited Saga: Its great when people around the world notice about Alice Nine. The more I compose beautiful songs, the more I want people to listen to them Nao: Its great to be able to share the spirit across the borders We heard that you mentioned about Jakarta, Indonesia, in many occasions. What makes Indonesia so special? What is the most impressive about it? We believe your fans would like to know! Shou: I really love Indonesia. When we were performing Fantasy there were many of them singing along Hiroto: I was driven away with the spirit that they showed. We were delivering the most out of us and they responded as much. That memory lingers in my heart. When I was going for something with Tora, there were many of you swarming around us (lol) Tora: After not performing overseas for awhile, I felt that I was loved by the fans who welcomed us Saga: I felt like I was a super star Nao: Because the live in Jakarta was the trigger of this Asia Tour! Supernova has been released in several countries in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Indonesia. What would you recommend for people to buy the record? Shou: Overall, Supernova is an energetic album. My personal choice is Mebius and Kaisen Zenya. Tried to listen to it Hiroto: This album contains the latest character of Alice Nines. There are some songs that sound better when you sing along. Please memorize the songs in this album! Tora: Up to this point, the albums that we released always have different feelings. Please listen to the current us Saga: This album is set for this tour. Supernova is live-signatured-album. Nao: Try to listen to this album while having an image of us doing live! In Indonesia, most of Japanese culture fans are the fans of anime and manga. Are there any that you like? Shou: Currently, I love Tokyo Ghoul. Hiroto: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan, its full of Japanese spirit in it! MUST BUY!!! Tora: Gintama! Saga: I like Sailor Moon Nao: Dragon Ball Existing as a band for 10 years, the members must be having a great bond to each other. What do the members mean to you? Shou: Allies in a war Hiroto: Members always share support, warmth, and things that I cant understand Tora: Because were always together (the five of them together), we can reach this point Saga: Each of the member has their own strengths, they always compose songs wholeheartedly. Because I am also trusted by the other members, I can do things wholeheartedly Nao: Members are human beings! What kind of songs would you compose, based on the character of other members? Shou: For example Hiroto, Id compose a song about the spirit to move forward Hiroto: Shou -> a song full of passion; Tora -> a fun beach song; Saga -> melting-toned song; Nao -> progressive rock song full of 15 minutes of passionately solo drums Tora: Because each of them have different characters, Id compose a song that would represent them Saga: I guess after this I could compose songs with instruments that represent the characters of every member. Each sound of the instruments would affect each other Nao: That would be a great song Last but not least, please share a message to Animonstar readers and your fans in Indonesia! Shou: Even though we could not make it there this time, but I love Indonesia. Please keep on supporting anime, manga, and Alice Nine!
