26/11 Terror attack accused Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi granted bail by pakisthan anti -terror court:: A Pakistani anti-terror court in Lahore on Thursday granted bail to top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander and 26/11 attack accused Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, sending shockwaves across the Indian political establishment. On Wednesday, Lakhvi and six other Pakistani nationals accused of planning and abetting the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks had filed bail applications in the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad. Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum were the other six accused who filed their applications with Lakhvi. The double standards of Pakistan in dealing with terror must be understood by India and other nations. Lakhvi has been released days after Pakistan witnessed one of its worst terror attacks for which the Islamist groups have taken responsibility, Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said. This is truly shocking. A long time has been spent on the trial and then Pakistan does this, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said. Lakhvis release came a day after Jamaat-ud-Daawa chief and alleged mastermind of the Mumbai attacks, Hafiz Saeed, accused India of orchestrating the Peshawar school attack on Tuesday in which over 140 people, including 132 children, were killed. The Pakistan Taliban has already accepted the responsibility for the Peshawar massacre.
