26-year-old Marshallese poet Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner wrote a poem, Dear Matafele Peinem, as a promise to her daughter that something will be done about climate change. She addressed the Opening Ceremony of the UN Climate Summit today, read her poem, and received a standing ovation.
