7. Bolivia lowers its working age to 10 Bolivia has lowered its legal working age to 10, provided the children are in school and self-employed. Twelve-year-olds can legally work for others, with authorization from their parents. More than 500,000 children already work to help support their families in the country, one of South Americas poorest.
