A 25-year-old former paramedic, accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian in January, is expected to learn his sentence on Monday. Prosecutors say Jeremy Bontrager left the scene of a crash where 56-year-old Ronald Rodgers was killed. Bontrager originally said he heard a loud bang and thought he may have hit something, but claims he didnt see anything when he turned around to look in the street. Rodgers was walking on 933 in Roseland on the right lane because the sidewalk was covered in snow.
