A LITTLE ABOUT NEXT WEEK’S FANTASTIC SCHOOL PRODUCTION: CORAM BOY: Coram Boy is a gripping tale of evil and redemption, love and sacrifice. It’s 18th Century England, and we meet Otis who travels the countryside persuading women with unwanted babies to give them to him for a price. He promises to take the babies to the Coram Hospital for orphans in London but the babies never make it there. Evil and cruel, Otis forces his son, Meshak, to collude in horrific crimes. Meanwhile, there is young Alexander Ashbrook, who is determined to pursue a career in music and give up his responsibilities as heir to a large country estate. Then Alexander meets Melissa, the daughter of his familys governess, and a chain of events is set off.... A twisting plot with an exciting (and satisfying) conclusion, the original novel by Jamila Gavin is a highly acclaimed, well researched historical novel recommended for 12 years +. The Cotswold School’s musical production of Coram Boy is a collaboration of our drama and music departments, performed by a cast of very talented young people. Tickets are now on sale through the school. DONT MISS OUT!
