A Milwaukee sheriff by the name of David Clarke has some strong words about the “vultures” who descended on Ferguson after the tragic shooting of Michael Brown. Clarke didn’t mince words about what he thought of the situation, and how the Obama administration and Attorney General Eric Holder handled it: If it’s one thing people can learn from Sheriff Clarke’s statement it’s that not everyone thinks it’s “noble” how a myriad of groups rushed to Ferguson to promote their own political agendas. It was damaging to the Ferguson community for both those groups and much of the media rush to judgment before all the facts of the case were known. When the aftermath of Ferguson has played out, those groups and the media will pick up their things and leave. It will be the people of that community who will be stuck picking up the pieces of their shattered neighborhoods.
