A Philosophers Complex. Amidst this increasingly complex postmodern society, nothing can be dubbed right nor wrong. The poison of the thinker is a panacea to the feeble-minded, and the penicillin of the the mentally dormant is a poisoned chalice to the philosopher. Employing logic with respect to the laws of logic is an abstractly absurd task to a man in the street. However, when a philosopher put into effect their intellect, all and sundry get affected. The philosophers informed view is a litmus paper to the basic thinking of the uninformed masses, i.e. the uninformed measure their cerebral content against what has been philosophized upon. From the political system at place to the education system, philosophy serves as the engine room that harbors the essence of any civilization. Whether one considers the hedonistic principles upheld by the Epicureans or stoicism, theres still a philosophical framework against which they weigh their views. Thus, man needs philosophy to survive! Furnished by the concepts of thinkers, a hamstrung society finds its footing. However, some in the sciences have dismissed philosophy as dead and insignificant. The likes of Nel Tyson, Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins, etc. have disavowed the mother of all sciences in their rationalizations, whereas, theyre philosophical in their approach. Its preposterous to cut the umbilical cord that connects philosophy and science and resolve to parasitism! Religion, as it slide down the slope of skepticism, is underpinned by philosophy. Nevertheless, theres a handful of believers that renounce philosophy as pedagogic tool. In a quicksand of philosophical hypotheses, philosophy becomes the Rosetta stone to understanding the world.
