A Watertown Dog Park - Meeting, Tuesday, February 4 at 7:00 PM Since April 2012 a group of residents have been developing the idea of a dog park for Watertown. The Dog Park Task Force has held a number of community meetings, researched dog parks in surrounding communities and wrote a proposal that focuses on the essential elements of a successful dog park. They also convened a public meeting with the members of the Town Council and representatives of the Health Department, Recreation Department and Community Development and Planning Department. Following that meeting there have been ongoing discussions with key council members and town officials regarding a possible site for the dog park. On Tuesday, February 4 at 7:00 PM there will be meeting of the Committee on Public Works to discuss the establishment of Watertown’s first ever dog park. The meeting will be held in the Town Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of Town Hall. I urge everyone who is interested in this topic to attend the meeting. A good turnout will make a big difference!
