A bittersweet day as Atlantas Friendship Baptist Church, Morehouse Colleges first Atlanta home early during the 1879-80 school year, is being razed. It is in the footprint of the new Atlanta Falcons football stadium being built in downtown Atlanta. Friendship, with its strong Morehouse ties from pastors to commencements, is building a new facility nearby.
