A combined taste.. A combined taste of the western world with the eastern palate was a challenge and they put their culinary skills to test. It was an arduous task but that’s what distinguishes the real foodie from the wannabes. They researched for the perfect way to reach the masses without pressurizing on their budget. It had to be something that was convenient, nutritious and whole-heartedly appealing. Most traditional Indian food is carbohydrate based and the diet is a highlight of their cultural origin. Keeping these vital points in mind, the innovations transpired. The common basic staple diet of whole wheat in the form of “Chapatti” and “Roti” is readily accepted. This is made my kneading the wheat flour with water into dough and then preparing it on a concave shaped iron griddle. This is round in shape resembling a tortilla or pancake. The traditional Indian bread got innovated into a soft handkerchief textured pancake popularly and colloquially known as the Roomali Roti. This is non-oily and with fewer calories. Finalization... Once this base was finalized, the rest was easy. It was now time to pack it with global cuisine keeping the Indian palate in mind. The wanderlusts succeeded in their quest and proudly presented their venture by opening their first kiosk in Mumbai under the name of Wraps & Rolls. Success follows those who never deter from their dreams. A single kiosk was a sensational hit that lead to a number of expansion plans. Its positive raves hit every household like forest fire because of its consistent supply of same quality product across the nation. This preliminary business enterprise has only fueled their crusade for healthy eating further. In the future, Wraps & Rolls Foods Pvt. Ltd. intends to make this product packaged along with sauces and various health products. They want to provide a variation to everyday food by offering mini meals with universal appeal. It would range from pasta to Khou Sey. They would also like to retain the traditionally valued tastes of globally accepted Indian recipes like Murg Malai Tikka and Tandoori Chicken. It will be a platform where each one can choose their menu and unite together with gourmet international cuisine without a visa or a flight ticket.
