A friend of mine ( Cristiano Ronaldo fan) posted this irking assumption: 1.Cristiano Ronaldo - 400 Goals 2.Leo Messi - 364 Goals 3.Samule Etoo - 351 Goals 4.David Villa - 348 Goals 5.Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 331 Goals Everyone in this list is a striker except Cristiano Ronaldo. But, still hes the high scorer even though he is a winger. # VIVA # RONALDO . But my argument is that ( Leo Messi fan) , if he claims that Ronaldo isnt a striker then, Messi should not be considered a striker too...... BECAUSE; According to my pal, Ronaldo is a Winger... A research shows he has played on the RIGHT WING, sometimes centre ATTACKING MIDFIELD..... Now according to Wikipedia, A winger is an ATTACKING player who is stationed in a wide position near the touchlines. They can be classified as FORWARDS, considering their origin as the old outside-forward position. Wikipedia states that: a STRIKER is a type of FORWARD position player in association football. However, according to the official Real-Madrid website, Ronaldo is a FORWARD. Messi: plays as a FORWARD for Spanish club FC Barcelona and the Argentina national team....There have been games, however,when hes played on the left wing and also on the center of midfield- attacking midfielder............ The two players have played in different positions but as Forwards or attacking players! according to the official FC Barcelona website, Messi is a FORWARD. Therefore, its daylight robbery to commpliment Ronaldo ahead of Messi simply because hes not a striker.... . If Ronaldo isnt a striker then Messi also isnt a striker...... Dear friends, please do help solve this dispute.
