A little bit of holiday cheer for you all… As of this past July, the lovely Dev Ev and I have been together for one years time. With much thanks towards our family and friends, we have had the opportunity to experience incredible feats all over the country. Entering my life amidst the greatest challenge I have ever faced, she seamlessly integrated herself in a way that she has become a part of everything I do. Whether we are skiing, racing cars or navigating a turn along a bobsled course, we have done it all together and I look forward to seeing where life takes us. I remember, right before Dave had passed away, that I told him about a girl I was crazy for that I finally got to spend some time with on some silly thing called FloAtZiLLa (book your 2015 trip now!), and how I was desperately trying to fool her into thinking I was much more interesting and cool than in reality. He nodded. Amongst the 50 other people that flew with us in 2012, Dave did get to meet Devin Christmas Eve. On two trips, with 5 other people from her family, Dave and Dev shared the front seat of Daves helicopter together for a tour of Doylestown. Her Grandfather George even went up, who has since passed away and is likely transported via helicopter by Dave most days of the week as best anyone can tell. Last July, in one weeks time I had both lost and gained a companion that has cared for me unconditionally and are critical parts of my life on a daily basis. What a great conundrum to be pulled so hard in two polar opposite directions at the very same time. I am so thankful for Devin to be pulling me straight upwards and to the sky, and for all of you for helping her keep me there. When I made this video, it was to be for her to celebrate the first year we spent together. Oddly, we had done so much together that it took me an additional 5 months to properly catalog our adventures. Fair warning that it might be a little cheesy at times, but totally worth it, I say.
